Bold Metals Review

Real Techniques recently added to their make up brush line with the launch of Bold Metals collection. There are 7 brushes in the collection, all very shiny and beautiful, although i'm not quite sure how long they will stay that way. I picked up two of the brushes a couple of weeks ago, the 301 contour brush and the 200 oval shadow brush. They're weighted at the brush end which did take some time getting used to, but I can't say it helped the application in any way. The materials used for the bristles are a much better quality compared to the original Real Techniques collection, making them super soft, non shedding brushes. I found both easy to clean without having to worry about damage to the brushes.

The contour brush is a stunning rose gold colour. A tightly packed brush that gets perfectly into the hollow of the cheekbone but is thick enough so that you can blend the colour at the same time. As the brush is dense i did find it picks up a lot of product so it is important to work with a light hand. The oval eye shadow brush is silver, a round shape brush for all over the lid application and blending. The bristles are dense and sturdy but still soft on lid, great for cream eye shadows as well as powder. I would definitely recommend trying out these brushes if you haven't already.
