Mac Dollymix Blusher Review

When it comes to duty free I normally go a bit mad and purchase everything in sight, Dollymix blusher was one of the many things I picked up when I was last at the airport. Dollymix is a pink rosy blush that blends out amazingly, giving the most beautiful natural glow to the cheeks. In the pan it's a hot pink so could seem intimidating to some, however I wouldn't say it is as pigmented as other Mac blushes I have tried, but it can be quite intense when built up. It does have a shimmer running through it, personally I prefer shimmer blushes so I don't have a problem with it but if you prefer a matte finish I would say this blush isn't for you. I normally apply it with a real techniques blush brush and they work great together. I wear Dollymix on a day to day basis and would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it before.

Christmas Lush Haul

It is that time of year where the count down for Christmas begins and all the winter collections come out. Lush is one of my favourite shops to visit throughout the year but when they bring out their Christmas collection I can't help but buy something every time I'm in town. I picked up a couple of things I haven't tried before as well as some old favourites from last year’s Christmas collection so I thought I would share them with you.

Bath Bombs
Dashing Santa: He literally dashes around your bath tub, gently fizzing and turning the water an orangey red colour. In the solid form, it smells really subtle but when dissolved in the bath it releases a mix of citrus fragrances. This bath bomb contains mandarin oil, bergamot and orange flower.

Butterbear: Basically a bear-shaped Butterball, with the same vanilla-like fragrance. The smell is really warm and comforting. It doesn't make your bath an exciting colour or very bubbly, but creates a creamy soft bath that is great for nourishing and protecting your skin as it contains cocoa butter.

So white: Gives a very strong scent of apple, which is nice, fresh and uplifting for this time of year. It gives of a lot of fizz, but isn't as exciting as other bath bombs, however beneath the white is a subtle pink colour. It fills your tub with a white film that helps to moisturise your skin.

Bath Melts

The Melting Snowman: If you like spice-scented baths this little guy is for you, he also has a bit of sweetness to his scent. After a while I did get a bit sick of the smell but he is made with enriching almond oil and cocoa butter, so you're left with super soft skin.

Bubble Bars
Magic Wand: Just swirl it under running water to create huge Snow Fairy scented bubbles. The Magic Wand can be used several times which is great, as you get more for your money. It was part of the Christmas collection last year and it was one of my favourite products of all time.

Candy Mountain: This pyramid does not only look an utter delight, but with a sugary-sweet vanilla and candyfloss scent you can’t go wrong. When crumbled under the water each bubble is left glistening with pink water swirling around you. Once dissolved, a silky broth is left that fully hydrates your skin and leaves it satin-soft and cleansed.

Shower Gel
Snow Fairy: I've never tried a shower Gel in lush before but as soon as I opened the lid to this I was sold. A super sweet smelling, sparkly shower gel you can't go wrong with. I love using this when I am in the mood for a candy-sweet scent, it leaves my skin feeling well cleansed, silky smooth and smelling amazing.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Review

After seeing the urban decay naked two palette in countless other blog posts and YouTube videos I decided to give in and buy one, I am so glad I did as it is one of my favourite palettes in my make up collection.
At the price of £37 the palette is a little on the expensive side but completely worth it. The casing of the palette is metal like a pencil tin, with a snap lock top which means the eye shadows are quite secure. The palette also has a full size mirror in the lid and comes with a double ended brush. The palette contains 12 different shades of beautiful eye shadow, all very pigmented and quite taupe based. It contains 9 shimmers and only 3 matte shades, personally I love shimmers, so I don’t have a problem with that, but if you prefer mattes be warned. The shadows in the palette are soft, so I find there can be some fall-out with some of the shimmer shades but are easy to remove.
Foxy
Foxy is a creamy bisque shade with a matte finish, I find can be slightly chalky but it is the perfect base colour as it counteracts any darkness on the eyelid.

Half baked
Half baked is a bronze gold with a shimmery finish, a great colour for all over the lid and has minimal fall-down.

Booty call
Booty call is a shimmery cork shade, It’s more of a frost finish.
Chopper
Chopper is a copper shimmer with a fine silver micro-glitter, I love the colour of this eyeshadow but it can be hard to wear due to some glittery fall down.

Tease
Tease is a creamy pale brown with a matte finish and slight purple undertones, although I find the pigmentation is lacking I find it looks great with green eyes.

Snakebite
Snakebite is a dark bronze shimmer with a metallic sheen, it has a fantastic buttery texture with intense colour payoff. I would say it is one of the strongest in the palette.
Suspect
Suspect is the perfect neutral, but with a really different taupey tone running through it.
Pistol
Pistol is a the perfect mix between a grey and a brown, and has a nice shimmer finish. Great for creating a day time smokey effect.
Verve
Verve is a very light shade of grey/brown with just the slightest of shimmers.
YDK
YDK is a very easy to wear cool bronze shimmer, very similar to Chopper, but not as golden.

Busted
Busted is a dark plummy brown, this shade is great for the crease, or to run under eye for a smokey look.
Blackout
Blackout is a really intense matte black, it has good pigmentation and isn’t too powdery. It is perfect for eyeliner.

Mac Plumful Lipstick Review

I first heard about mac's plumful lipstick after watching YouTube videos and I instantly had to get it. After urming and ering about the price I finally decided to purchase it and I'm so glad I did. Plumful is a lovely sweet rosy plumy pink colour and is definitely my favourite lipstick I own, as it is extremely wearable for day time. I really like the lustre formulas as they're really hydrating and moisturising on my lips, especially for the winter months. I would say plumful isn't as pigmented as other mac lipsticks I have and isn't very longlasting but that is to be expected from a lustre finish. It can be built up and leaves the most gorgeous glossy and creamy finish. I find plumful looks different on everyone but suits all skin tones, I would definitely recommend getting this lipstick if you haven't already got it.

Loving Lush

I'm just like a child in a sweet shop when it comes to shopping in lush and I can't help but buy something every time I walk past the shop. I find it so hard deciding what to get I can never choose just one thing, which means I've got quite a collection of lush stuff together now, so I thought I would share it with you.
Bath bombs
Sex bomb
Butterball
Rose queen
Icicle baby bot
Think pink
I picked up quite a few bath bombs some new that I haven't tried before but also some old favourites of mine. If you have dry skin I would recommend butterball, one of my favourites, it smells good enough to eat. The bath bomb has small cocoa pieces that melt onto your skin which creates a light buttery film to help replenish and moisturise your body.

Massage bar
Soft coeur
I hadn't tried massage bars before but after picking this one up this one I cannot wait to try more. Massage bars start to melt as you warm them up so they are a great way to moisturise your skin after the bath. The soft coeur has honey and coco butter which makes it smell amazing.

Bubble bars
The comforter
Creamy candy bath
Yuzu and cocoa
You crumble a small part of the bubble bar under the tap and it makes incredible bubbles. A small part of the bar goes a long way which also means you can use it more than once. The comforter is one of my favourite products that lush sells because of the blackcurrant fragrant it gives.
Shower scrub
Rub rub rub
The rub can be used as a gentle scrub on wet skin or on dry skin as a really good buff before you get in the shower. You can also use the rub to wash and add shine to your hair. The buff is combined with lots of lemon juice which leave your skin feeling super soft. I have been using this scrub for the past two days and I can already feel a difference.
